Lacy Bell is the Corridor Operations Director for Sound Transit’s new BRT program. In this role, she is ensuring that bus operations and multimodal integration are central to the decision making through all stages of project development. She believes it is of utmost importance to “think like a transit rider” as projects transition from a “line on a map” to an actual service that improves mobility for a region.
Lacy recently moved to Seattle from Denver where she worked at RTD as the project manager on a wide variety of projects including the City of Denver Colfax BRT study, RTD’s 2016 fare policy changes, and the Downtown Denver Circulator (Free MetroRide). She has both a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Civil Engineering with a Transportation emphasis from Georgia Tech.
