Senior Sustainability Planner and Designer / Sustainability Liaison for East and South Corridor Transit Expansion Projects
Denis Martynowych is an architect and planner with over twenty-five years of experience in sustainable planning, design, project management, and partnership building in the Pacific Northwest. He is a LEED BD+C and Certified Envision Sustainability Professional. He has worked in Sound Transit’s Operational Division for two years before joining ST’s sustainability team. As a capital planner at the University of Washington he helped write the university’s first Climate Action Plan and was the lead planner for UW’s District Energy Modernization and Expansion Initiative. He has served as the owner’s representative for six major LEED certified buildings. He is currently advancing Sound Transits sustainability goals on dozens of projects primarily in the East and South Corridor expansion areas.
